come out, I know you're there
I see the scratches on the wall
they lead me
so come out, don't be scared
every second that you are away
is a season
when I get too serious
you pull me back
it's not your problem
when I'm like that
when the world's on fire
you cool it down
it's not your problem, it's just my problem
when it all unravels
we're wrapping arms
what starts as weakness, leaves us strong
you make me believe I'm the one
who makes you feel this
who turns you on
don't forget where you're from
that's where we'll meet
after the fall
don't forget when you fall
that's where
we are from
This is an excellently crafted album, there are some great bass and synth sounds along with some excellent piano and guitar riffs.
Odd Common blends these different elements into songs with a subtle movement and great layering of sounds.
There's a very modern feel to the production but equally an excellent 80s synth vibe too. Andrulian
An absolutely superb album which has a sparse minimal / techno feel at times with great variety in rhythmic sounds.
There's often a driving kick rhythm but also processed kick sounds, contrasting against syncopated hats.
There are some excellent and unusual synth sounds - great layering of these and sparse use works really well. I also like the dark ambience in some of the songs which creates an excellent texture / contrast. Andrulian
Hauntological ambient from the UK's Mute Branches—tense and evocative, imagining the sounds of urban myth and folkloric mystery. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 8, 2020
